What Do I Need To Tell an Event Photographer?

When you are hiring an event photographer communication is the key. I have been briefed with a long list of shots that are required that need to be captioned with names, titles and other details all the way down to "Do your thing". Either is fine but need to be communicated before the event. Being given a list of shots after the event is not a lot of use. If there is a schedule or running order of the event or if there are key people you would like images of this is always good information for the photographer. Events often don't run exactly to plan and a professional will always adapt to the situation.
